August for me is quite a relaxed month over the years, so I tend to do something special with the family if I am able.
Therefore, during my much-needed time off work last week I decided to do something different than usual; instead of going away to somewhere for a few days we went to Kew Gardens for the day.
The visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew was just what we all needed after being indoors for months. We had to book the tickets online to gain entrance into the grounds, because they needed to limit the number of people that could be admitted on the grounds each day, but once you are in, you literally walk into a magically world of plants, flowers and some amazing structures as well.
Kew Gardens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and just looking around, you can totally understand why it has that status. Exploring the grounds was super exciting, because some of our close friends met up with us to make it a fun day out😊.
Let me just say there is so much to discover at Kew Gardens, such as:
- Princess of Wales Conservatory
- Duke’s Garden
- Rock Gardens
- Woodland Gardens
- The Hive
- Temple of Aeolus
- Great Broad Walk Borders
- Agius Evolution Garden
- Rose Gardens
- Mediterranean Garden
- Japaneses Gateway
- Redwood Grove
- Temperate House
The list of things to see at Kew Gardens is endless, I have just listed some of the spectacular sights we had the pleasure to see during our day out there. My favourite highlights of the day were the Rose Gardens and the Princess of Wales Conservatory.
So if you are struggling about a day event to do with the family, I will highly recommend the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew, the landscapes are absolutely stunning and every path you take during the walk on the grounds truly tells a story. The tranquillity and nature beauty are a bonus to the whole setting, which you can appreciate even more while having a picnic on the grounds.
Thank you for walking through this very current memory with me 😊, hope the photos brought a smile to your face just like it did for me while capturing them. I will definitely go back to Kew Gardens, because it is worth it.
