It is the end of October and this has been a super busy month for me. In the UK the month of October is usually set aside to celebrate Black History, so it was good to listen all through the month to various speakers organised at my workplace to speak on a range of topics showcasing the rich black history we have all around us.
October was packed full organising my children birthday celebrations as well as organising a surprise birthday for a special friend and her son, but I was finally just one of the guests when I went out with friends to celebrate my good friend @Ope birthday at Busaba, Westfield Shepherd Bush. It was so good to take time to just catch up with friends after such a long time of not seeing due to all the covid-19 restrictions.
Took the train into Shepherd Bush instead of driving and it was nice to meet up with another friend @Tosin at Clapham Junction, we then took the overground to Shepherd Bush. When we arrived the Westfield shopping mall buzz was in full swing. It was good to see people out and about, but we still kept safe wearing our masks until we got to Busaba the venue of the birthday celebration.
The evening was filled with mouth-watering food and wonderful company. I highly recommend Busaba, with its calming ambience and relaxing atmosphere. The environment was clean, and the staff were super helpful and professional, I will be going back again.
I had the pleasure of finally seeing Lion King Musical at the Lyceum Theatre with my friend @Uju, who was the best company ever. We had so much fun meeting up at Covent Garden station then finding our way to the theatre. We planned to watch the Lion King early September, but we had to change the date till end of October due to things beyond our control. It was so worth the wait because we were like little children singing along to all the words and smiling throughout the musical like we just been let loose in a candy store. The Lion King was simply the best and cannot wait to go back to watch this with my family. The cast were totally captivating, the costumes were colourful, and the stage was pure genius 😊
To bring the month to an end the last week of the October half term break was filled with entertaining the children by going with friends to Coral Reef Waterworld, Bracknell, Chobham Adventure Farm Surrey, and Chessington World of Adventures Resort. After all the excitement that the month of October brought it was so nice to book a night away at Premier Inn hotel and waking up to breakfast that I did not have to cook 😊. As a family we love staying at the Premier Inn hotel, because the rooms are spacious, clean, and super cosy. The staff at this Premier Inn hotel were super polite and helpful, so this went a long way to make our stay pleasant.
On this last day of October, I am totally grateful for life, family, friends, and the opportunity to make new and happy memories with the ones we love 😊
